PA 6.6

Zimmer® multi-autoclave process for PA 6.6 and other specialty polyamides. Our experts have combined the flexibility of the batch process of PA 6.6 with the enhanced production volume via the introduction of multiple autoclave units.

This semi-continuous process reliably produces between 60-80 tons per day by eliminating a key bottleneck associated with traditional PA 6.6 production lines. 

As a trusted partner, Zimmer® works in close co-operation with our clients to develop new formulations, introduce new additives and trial new production conditions to bring the highest quality, cost effective polyamides to market. 

Other Polyamides compatible with Zimmer® semi continuous batch processes are: 

• PA 5.6 – based on the feedstocks of pentamethylenediamine and adipic acid 
• PA 6.10 – based on the feedstocks of hexamethylenediamine and sebacic acid 
• PA 6.12 – based on the feedstocks of hexamethylenediamine and dodecanedioic acid
